What is best way?

I'm trying to figure out a better way to sand edges of cutting boards. I've been putting them in my vice and just holding the random orbit sander free handing. Got to be a jig, tool or better technique. Some of the boards have a bevel edge on bottom of the boards. Trying to be more efficient that way can make more boards and be consistent. Thanks in advance

A brush head on a Sand Rite Mfg. Co sander may be the answer. I've tried other flap/brush heads and they weren't much. I've tried the ones like Lee Valley sells, a Sand-O-Flex copy of a sort. Meh. I have a Sand-O-Flex and occasionally use it. It might be better than nothing but your stock in a vise with a ROS may well be just as fast if not faster.

Sand-O-Flex being used on a 4000 RPM PC 304 Disk sander. The drill chuck was threaded to fit the sander. Not a rig for an inexperienced rookie.

large stationary belt sander?. Or, I picked up a used Grizzly stroke sander that could do the faces and edges. The face using the standard stroke table and the belt can be exposed on top. I build a 72" long x 10" tall fence on top to support edge sanding this way. Works great.

I might use the belt on my Ridgid belt/spindle sander. As the table can tilt, you could do the bevel as well. Maybe a use for it because I almost never use the belt, just the spindles. Should never have sold my WEN.

If you have a hand held belt sander, you could make a platform and have a angled add on for the bevel.

I was interested in the Stockroom Supply sander but I got a fair deal on a drum sander. FOr the bog flats only of course, not edges.

What about changing grits on something like this or do you usually use same grit. Is It fairly easy to change the belts on something like this.

I have it loaded with 120 (I believe) and havent changed it in a couple years. Easy process to do if you wanted to though.
