I'll second SubGuy's advice to use bloxogen. Waterlox goes bad in the can way faster than anything else I've used, though bloxogen helps tremendously. Open the can, stir it, pour off what you need, then bloxo it and re-seal quickly. You don't want to leave the can open any longer than necessary. Once it skims over in the can, forget it. Don't try to use it then, you'll be sorry with the results at that point. Waterlox is a great product as indicated from the many users here. The manufacturer thinks so too!....its pricey. Well worth it in my opinion, so do all you can to preserve it so you can use it all.
Good luck!.....oh, one more point. It does take a long time to cure. You can recoat in a day like most oil finishes. Just know that once you are done the odor will linger for several weeks while it fully cures. The sheen will improve as it finishes curing too
