Very old hand plane

I recently came into posession of a very old hand plane. It is rusty, and the handle is somewhat held together with electrical tape. I have absolutely no idea how to repair, restore (or even sharpen for that matter) an old hand plane.

So I figured I'd ask if anyone here might be interested in it. I'd prefer some kind of trade for it.

If there is any interest, I'll take / post pictures.

Actually, you've got yourself a pretty cool little plane there (not to mention a great model)! It that's a Stanley, then it's a Stanley steel plane! From the looks of it I'd say probably an S5. Not rare or collectible (as far as I know, but... what do I know?!?!?), but still pretty cool!

Now that I look at the pics a bit more closely, I'm convinced that's what you've got! Take a look at this recent ebay auction to see how yours compares.... it'll also give you an idea of the market value.
