I don't know about y'all, but there is something very satisfying about using tools you made to work on something you also made. This saw cuts like a champ...

Fine tuning the slots and fretting.... I should have it strung up by the end of the day.

Saws aren't that bad... more fiddly than anything else.

Do you have a jig that helps with the spacing of the fret grooves?

I just use a story stick to mark the locations given the scale and then cut to final depth on a fretboard jig I made. Been playing around with a modified Stanley Miter box to make the initial cuts.... it works good but is too bulky. Thinking about making a smaller box and saw for that purpose... when I get a minute I'll see if I can make that work.
