A friend of a friend's dad pasted away about a month ago. He loved woodworking. However, since his passing, my friend has the job of dealing with all his affects. I am trying to help from the tool end as much as possible. So I posted several of the items in the classified area as "Fire Sale". My hope is someone will need some of these tools and we can make a deal that everyone will be happy with. So if you are interested, please help this family out and PM. Just asking for reasonable or really any offers. Would love if some of this stuff could find a home this week. Please PM me if you are interested.

How much does it sell for, offer 1/2. Good enough to know if you like it.

I looked online and it is selling for $69.99. So if anyone is interested, just make an offer. Its Habor Freight, yes, but its almost new in the box and someone could have a scroll saw for 30 bucks

Don't recognize the first and last picture. Any idea what they are?

RBI planner. Built like a tank. If I remember correctly am 8" cutting width. Knives touchy to set but you get the hang of it.

yep, its a planer - molder. my guess is the 8" bed and the various cutting heads I found are really for cutting molding profiles

I've got the same Workmate 300 and Makita palm sander.
Not sure exact age but I know I used both on a project I did end of 1982.
Just an endorsement if you are concerned with the age.
They are diehards

Re: Need Help with this "Fire Sale"

The HFT and Sears stuff is easy enough to determine a LIST PRICE for the new item (or comparable in case of a model change). Same with the VISE. The Planer Moulder might bring $200 since it is only eight-inches, OLD LOOKING and NOT 'Brand Name' most folks would recognize.

Best to describe each item (FULLY) including a link to a comparable new one (whenever possible) and include a picture of the item and a FIRM PRICE and post it on the local Craigslist Tools Section. You (or she) can Always Reduce the prices, but give it a couple of weeks without budging, then change the prices of what's left and renew the ad for another two weeks.

Don't call it a FIRE SALE - sounds desperate and invites time wasters and low-ballers. If you set a fair price, no need to come down. And the responses will indicate the interest at the prices first set.

I always demand that they include their phone number in a reply email to weed out tire kickers and never include my number in an ad. If they fail to include their number in the response, I ignore them. If they do, I send them a reply with my number and BEST TIME TO CALL ME. If they call, they are among the more serious prospects and worth talking to. I never give out my address unless they commit to a specific time to come look.

Hope this proves helpful.
