I attended my nieces wedding this past weekend in Greenville, SC. While there we took a walk in the downtown Reedy River park where my eyes caught sight of this full size tree growing on the side of a hill.

It was so unusual, I just had to post it. Enjoy!

Wow! Looks like one good rain storm or hurricane and that thing will be in the street. But it's probably already been there 50 years, so it's not going anywhere. Would love to see the root system underground that's holding it up.

Thanks for sharing the photo. That is an awesome tree... those roots almost look surreal... something form the SyFy channel.

Cool pic. I'm from Greenville and I can tell you there's lots of trees like that around those parts. I've got some of pretty large tree that I ran across a few years back in the woods behind where I lived. I'll have to see if I can dig them up and post 'em here.
