Need a dog!
Latest addition to the intarsia wall. About 26-1/2w x 15h.
62 pieces, mostly red oak. Others are walnut sapwood, walnut heartwood, torrefied ash and basswood (glints in the eyes).
Eyes are each glued up with 3 pieces then rounded. Glint was added after rounding.
This brings wall total part count to 1633.

Yes - the eyes are tough from both a design and execution standpoint.
The glints are 1/4" x 1/4" (roughly) basswood that are filed round and tapered in the DP. Receiving hole in the pupil is done with 1/32 tapered CNC bit used in DP driven down to give about .04-.05 dia hole.

Beautiful, as always! I am confident when this masterpiece is installed on the wall of the church it will bring a considerable amount of media attention, which in turn will ultimately bring sightseers to the church...your work will be viewed by many and deservedly so.
