We needed a new centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table, so I made this. It's based on a version I saw a few years ago in one of the woodworking mags (maybe Woodsmith, but I don't remember, for sure). I had to tweak it, so I added some subtle curves to the profile, and included some cool glass votive holders I had found a while back. Cherry with bubinga legs. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Have seen similar pieces - and I think yours is really well done!

You have inspired me to do a few myself (as Christmas gifts, not for TG)

Very nice centerpiece Dave. The wood choices are perfect together. What size lumber did you start out with?

Thanks, all. It still needs a coat of wax, but we needed to use it before the finish was fully cured.

Sam, I started with a piece of 8/4 cherry, and the piece is roughly 24" long and 5 1/2" wide at the center.
