Hello friends,
A while ago I took a poll on three projects to build and a hall table was picked by my North Carolina Woodworker friends. It has been a long time coming but I finally picked up the wood from a good friend in Vermont (we were deployed in Afghanistan in 05) it is Tiger Maple from a tree that he took down on his 15 acres of land. I am going to start this next week and will post progress as I get farther.

Here is a link to the original post.

I was going to try and acquire ebony for the black accents, but will use homestead trans-fast dye to ebonize the accent pieces and legs.

If you have any suggestions/questions before I dive in let me know.

here are a couple of pics of the wood, whats you alls best secrets to make the tiger stripes jump out?

Should turn out nice Michael, glad to see your going to use dye instead of stain.

BLO. BLO. remember how the mineral spirits made the curl jump out in the wood we actually culled from the kitchen job??? If you want to experiment with it, I think I still have a small piece you could slice up to experiment with.
