Just a thought here...have you concidered getting a freight quote? I'm one to jump in the truck and go myself but now I stop and think about pouring 50 dollar bills down the tank every few hundred miles - may not be the most economical way to go.

I know there is a lot more to the equation but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Actually, I did and have.

I got a quote from freight quote for $1700 and they would not insure it for over 10 cents a pound. I could probably do somewhat better, but still, I have read and heard that if it is not packaged perfectly, it is going to stand a strong chance of getting whacked and knocking the slider out of line and possibly rendering it useless. I am not thrilled about the drive, but at least I will be the one handling it, and it will be my own fault if it gets trashed :eusa_pray:eusa_pray:eusa_pray. With the rental truck, I did buy the cargo insurance and that was $18 and well worth it.

All in all, I figure it is going to cost me $1K to transport this thing (truck, gas, etc).
