Having sold tools and bought my own for my shop these are my picks:
Midi-Lathe - Rikon It has the full open cover over the belts and makes belt changing mush less of a problem also is a bit better made than Jet or Delta.
Table Saw - If you have the money SawStop, if not Shop Fox 1820 a little bit better made than Grizzly
Router Table - JessEm with Porter Cable 3-1/4 hp. router
Scroll Saw - DeWalt or new Delta (same saw)
14 in. Band saw - Rikon all the bells & whistles for less money and still well made.
Disk / Belt Sander - Grizzly, Shop Fox, whatever These machines are almost the same brand to brand.
Sharpener - WorkSharp 2000 or 3000
Other stuff: Maybe later. Mortise machine, slow speed grinder with One Way sharpening system for lathe tools, 15 in. plane like PowerMatic . Just ideas.
Bill "Pop" Golden
PS: (Just for Phil A.) He could just buy half dozen Shopsmiths. Ha !
