I was asked recently about some planemarkers floats I made. In response I've uploaded an article I wrote for SAPFM's Pins and Tales quarterly eZine. It describes the process followed to make a set of six floats that I use when making wooden hand planes. You can find the full article here in the Resources section. Click the "Download" button to get the PDF file.

As a side bar for those who may be new to the forum, I suggest checking out our Resources. It's easy to miss if you're focused on the forum section. Click on "Resources" at the top of the page. There is a lot of excellent content there on a wide variety of subjects related to woodworking.

Jim, a great article! Considering the cost of the LN or Red Rose floats, making them is the best option with limited skills and time needed. I will be adding this to the to do list. Thank you for the inspiration!
