Reason to be a Corporate Member - Be a part of the Board of Directors Nominations

Nominations for the Board of Directors opens tomorrow on the Corporate Members Thread. That thread is only accessible if you are a Corporate Member. If you like this group and want to be part of the leadership, guide the direction of the group, or support the current leadership, Please consider to "opt in" and become a Corporate. Once you are a Corporate Member, you will have access the BOD Nomination Thread. For that point, you can nominate yourself, nominate someone else, or throw your support behind someone running for re-election. You will also get the change to vote on the BOD. Nominations will run through 3/23 and followed by a period of vote.

So PLEASE consider becoming a Corporate Member of this Group.

Note, No Nomination will be accepted here and will be deleted. That must be submitted on the Corporate Members Thread.

From our President.

I am curious. What would you do if this site didn’t exist? The reason I ask is simply to understand why folks aren’t willing to step up and help lead our organization. This year is twenty years of existence and that is something to be proud of. This doesn’t happen by magic, it happens by folks stepping up and being leaders. Fostering and nurturing this group of hobbyists by sharing information with opportunities to learn or find that tool you have been looking for. It is also a great place share your craft and learn from one another. So let me ask this, would you know and have some of the friends and connections that you have today with out this web site? For me the answer is no, I would not have. If you have run for the board before and lost that race, don’t give up try again. If you have never run before why not give it a try, you are among friends here.
Here’s the deal, we are asking that you join us to help lead this group into the future. Believe me when I say that this is a rewarding activity working with a great group of individuals.
So I’m asking, please step up and help us to move into the next twenty years of friends, learning and woodworking.

How does one become a corporate member? The ask in this thread is basically to become a corporate member, but no explanation of what it is or how to get there

In addition, we require full name, mailing address, and telephone number as stated in the Corporate Opt-In. This is under your username, Account Details. Or Click this link: https://ncwoodworker.net/forums/index.php?account/account-details

On the day this is completed, the usergroup promotion script runs overnight to process member changes. The day following the Corporate opt-in, you will be in the Corporate Member group and will have access to the Board of Directors voting links.
