Public use shop ?

Does anyone know of a "public use" woodworking shop in the Charlotte/Greensboro/Raleigh area that is available for rent. For example, rent the woodworking tools inside..... OR..... Rent the shop and all of its contents to build a project.

If you have a specific project in mind, you may want to check your local community college adult education for woodworking courses. I had a friend who built some nice furniture (formal dining table, china hutch, etc) by taking advantage of the CC courses and tools. He supplied the plans, and used their resources to purchase the materials, and build/finish the pieces.

Visit www.charlottewoodworkers.org, we do indeed have a shop that is generally open for member use on Monday evenings and other times during the week.

It's a great organization, I've been a member for 11 years. Haven't been very active for the last few, but I highly recommend it.
