PT SYP as Stickers???

I have a bunch of 1x1 PT SYP left over from a new fence and some wood that need stacking.

Is it OK to use the PT SYP as stickers or will it stain or do other bad things to the good wood?

The folks at Mountain Sawyers recommended that one should never use pine or any other resin-containing wood for stickers since they are likely to stain. I recently stickered about 320 BF of Black Cherry and I used 3/4" thick x 1" strips of the same cutting session that I milled from the scraps. After I used all of that wood, I used some offcuts of White Oak and soft Maple for stickers. No Pine.

I think Rob is right on this... I usally use hardwood unless I'm in a pinch, then I'll use pine, but it's my last choice because of what Rob said...
