I am having approximately 1 acre of land cleared and would like to keep some of the wood for myself. Does anyone know of a portable sawmill near Hillsborough, nc? I checked out the sawyer page but it looks like the nearest mill is in Sanford or New Hill. Do these guys tend to travel very far?
Doing some rough calculations, I have approximately 800-1000 bf of 10-15" logs of mostly poplar and pine. I have quite a bit more logs in the 8-10" range but don't know if I'll have the money/effort to saw this. If someone were interested in it and wanted to help out with the milling...:eusa_danc I do have access to a skidsteer which should help out alot.
