plain and simple

It seems like over the last few weeks I have been doing a lot of experimenting and glue ups with some successes and more than my share of failures.
Yesterday I decided to make a pen that I enjoyed doing.Something that is tried and true.One I could do for relaxation with no head aches or deadlines.
Gold plated Winchester 338 with whitetail antler,Parker refill.

Eagle, even your "plain and simple" pens are exquisitely crafted, and show more talent and skill than I ever hope to have. The tenon on the antler top tube, wood core in the casing, and I am sure that you powder-coated the casing yourself, makes it more than "plain and simple".

Very sharp. Sometimes we just need to go remind ourselves what we liked about turning (or whatever) in the first place.
