I found some 3/4" stainless steel and regular steel pipe at a salvage yard and want to make clamps out of it. Can the stainless be threaded? Does anyone have a pipe theader that could help?
Thanks!

Hi Mark try checking with a pluming co. You might get them to thread it for you.AS far as the stainless you might have to get that done at a machine shop. But I have seen it threaded. Goodluck!

Any plumbers that work at hospitals or chemical plants will have the dies for cutting stainless.

Harbor Freight sells a pipe threader at a very reasonable cost. I have one for occasional jobs and it works OK. I think it comes with 3 size dies and a ratchet handle. This may be the answer if you are not in a big hurry. Harbor Freight usually takes 10 to 14 days to respond with their shipments.
