I get " page not found " when trying to access the gallery

Let's hope it is just part of the transition that is not complete -- pictures in existing posts cannot be seen either.

Fixed.

Based one what I was seeing yesterday, I have a strong suspicion they updated some of our web server software. Weird things broke all over the place.

Hmmm, could be something changed in the directory permissions....let me take a look. No worries, the actual photos are still there.
