This is the original plastic positioning mechanism made by Incra. Good for router table or repeated table saw cuts.

Mike, I'm a novice garage shop woodworker. What are the uses for this jig. Do you have a model #, maybe I can locate a video or two. Thanks,

This was one of Incra’s first products, it didn’t have a number.

It is a positioning jig, you screw or clamp it to the table then you can move it in precise amounts. I have to look to see exactly what the smallest increment is. It has a tape so you can go back to any particular starting position if needed.

In use you would set it up for a router table as the fence. Make a cut, move a certain amount, make another cut… etc. precision dovetails or box joints would be one process. Multiple grooves might be another.

If I recall, the router tables at the time were fairly crude with sloppy fences that slid back and forth due to an elongated slot but no scales to use to position them. Measuring was tedious. DIY designs from woodworking magazines were providing significant improvements, but not necessarily for the fence. This jig with it’s precisely spaced teeth allowed for much easier and more precise adjustments. I believe this jig is what catapulted Incra to become a prominent accessory company. I ended up skipping this jig due to having a cast iron p-c router table and fence. But decided to buy one of their first miter gauges for my table saw. I’m still using it today.
