North carolina woodcarving festival

This Saturday, March 19, Klingspor's Woodworking Shop of Raleigh will host the 14th annual Woodcarving Festival. If you are a carver, you may register for the competition on Friday afternoon and on Saturday morning until 9:30. If you just want to gaze upon and admire a collection of fantastic carvings, come by on Saturday and check it out.
There will be active demonstrations on sharpening carving tools with diamonds by Trend, a carving demonstration by King Arthur Tools and many others by NCWA members.
There will also be many door prizes and a raffle of carving related items to help support the North Carolina Woodcarvers Association.
The main attraction in the raffle will be a Nativity Scene that has been carved by club members.

If you've never been to this show, you owe it to yourself to attend to see the wonderful work done by our local carvers.

If you have been to the show, you know it is worth the trip.

Some of the carved animals there look so real that you'd swear a taxidermist prepared them.
