Working on a Noodle Board/Stove Top protector, all pieces cut sanded. Used 1/2 x 6 clear pine for bottom, 1 x 4 for sides and back.
Haven't decided if Stain, or clear Poly, but pondering the Glue up and assembly. I have some clamps to use, and have watched Many Videos, but interested in what/how you all go about it.

I would be careful that the boards alternate the growth rings up and down and use splines or biscuits to aline them. Also use Tightbond III A kitchen is a wet environment. Also make the person that receives it sign a paper that says if they turn on the stove it WILL burn it and possibly burn the house down.

Actually to make it foolproof make sure the board ALSO covers the knobs for the burners! (Might wind up an inch taller but worth it)

Thanks Berta good advice
