Found this forum recently, and thought I'd join up. I was a carpenter, now more of a vintage tool tinker, and green woodworker.

I have a green woodworking festival out at Shakori Hills, this year it will be October 11-13.
It's Called the GreenWood Wrights'Fest.

Glad to get to know more woodworkers, and learn more.

I’ll have to check out the festival, I’ve just started trying out green carving in the past couple of years, and it is a lot of fun!

That would be great, I'm really excited for the festival this year.We have some really good instructors coming.

Daniel Clay is coming to teach Chip Carving and we also have a new Timber frame instructor coming from Ohio named Caleb Miller, in addition to brooms, spoon, stool and bowl making.

We haven't posted this year's line up on the website yet.

Fabulous! It will be the weekend after Shakori in the fall, and we could use help if you have time with set up... We'll also be having some workdays this spring, preparing some new shave horses... and riving some wood if you'd like to com out I'll keep you posted.
