Need help to ID this tree

That's a younger cherry all day long. Birch bark would be for lack of a better way to describe it flakier.

I agree. It is pretty wood. Leaves should make a showing before the chainsaws arrive.

Following up on a curiosity. The peanut gallery was divided between birch or cherry.

Got some new pics of a few branches with the new leaves? Are the leaves staggered along the branch where they attach or are they directly opposite from one another?

I'm trying to get back to the lot and find some leaves. Hopefully soon. I'm leaning towards cherry myself but will know shortly. Thanks
