I made it out of red oak in my garage.

I used biscuits to join the boards and for the bread boards, I cut one long mortise and tenon. I didn't glue it just drilled some holes and used dowel pins.

Looks really good, Jeff. The breadboard ends look nice and tight. Now that you've taken the plunge, what's next?

One thing to keep in mind with breadboard ends is to allow for expansion and contraction of the main part of the table. Many times this is done by using slotted holes.
