Five of us got together at my shop last Saturday to produce some more wooden cars for the Toys for Tots program. The car is very simple and we were able to turn out 120 in about 3 hours. In case you can't tell, the car is fashioned after the Fiat 500. I've got a small neighborhood group coming over tomorrow night to produce another 36. This will have to be it for this year since Tuesday night is the collection night at Klingspor's in Raleigh. We expect to have over 4000 toys there for the Marine Corps Reserve to haul to the distribution sites.
It's not too late for you to make a difference. The Toys for Tots collection boxes are still out in many sores and all you need to do is drop-in a new, unwrapped toy. Why wait any longer to help? Whatever you can do will make a child smile on Christmas day!
