I just wanted to share a garage shop build I am attempting. Shortly after the wife and I bought our house a few years ago, my dad gave me his old miter saw station setup with his 10” hitachi compound miter saw. (Love free tools). I don’t have any pics of the old station that I can find, but it was made of some old cabinet bottoms with a top of 1/2” mdf and plywood. The fence extensions were made out of some 1” dimensional lumber.
This particular work bench I am making out of free scrap lumber I am getting from a business down the road from my work. The top is made from southern yellow pine, poplar, and I think a piece of cedar is in there too. I haven’t decided how I want to do the under table area with storage or what not. Also after I secure the saw to the table, I will be building the fence extensions. Anyway, here is what I have so far.
