Just got done reading this, at least what I could absorb of it. This is a sequel to Woodworkers Essentials which I have not read yet. I have read probably 20-25 woodworking books since becoming interested in the subject, and this is by far the most technical.

The author is a retired organic chemist. Be prepared for VERY in depth discussion of the topics... there is an entire chapter on electrolysis that is like a chemistry course. Also there are alot of physics and formulas. If you want some hardcore information, this is the book.
