Today's project was installing hold open hardware on a shed door. The hardware went into the pocket of my hoodie and the screwdriver went into my back pocket along with the ice pick for starting the holes. Usually this kind of project entails attempting to extricate the small screws from the folds of my pocket and the accumulated lint therein. Today I happened to have a 1" rare earth magnet in my pocket from a previous project which immediately glommed onto the screws making for easy removal from my pocket . I stuck the magnet on the screwdriver handle and the screws were right there for use without fumbling/dropping/hunting in the grass etc etc :gar-La; In the future a magnet will be going with me when dealing with easily lost parts. :icon_thum
