Long overdue art frame

I won't go into how long I have been sitting on this. Maple, with an inlay of bloodwood. Finished with satin polyurethane from spray can.

I was going to comment about how much more I would enjoy the frame if it were of a dog rather than a CAT but I didn't want to start a s#*$storm. Now I can blame it on Jim. ;)

Granddaughter picked it out, had no voice in the contents. ;-)
It is a beautiful piece of work. Her color choices blend well. I wish I could consistently find a miter like that. It seems illusive these days..

Does that get me back inside the bus??

Very nice. How did you cut the miters? Chop saw? Table saw? hand plane and shooting board? In any case the turned out very well.
