Lathe question

My wife is interested in learning how to utilize a lathe to make ornaments and other small items such as pens (she has watched several demonstrations with great enthusiasm). I would like to sign her up for a starter class to see if it is something she really would be interested in. I am sure Woodcraft will someday provide classes but are there other classes in the RTP area?

NCSU's Craft Center offers a good introductory course.

I took one there, and came away with a lot of new ideas and know how.

I'd think you could find some fellow NCWW friends to show her around ... that's what I did and it was better than any class!
