The cabinet is birch ply trimmed with poplar and the top is (2) 3/4 oak veneer mdf trimmed with oak band. I finished it with a couple coats of poly. Paul, from here in Clinton, and a site member gave me the oak veneer. Since I currently have no clamps needed for the glue up he was gracious to assist with the top. Thanks Paul!
As always I learned some things and looking back would have probably made the entire cabinet from oak but that can be another project later. I've included some photos and thanks for looking!
