Identification of hand plane

I have had this plane for awhile bought it at the flea market maybe 2 years ago...
I recently started using it for a project and disassembled it for cleaning and sharpening. After reassembly and some use I was seeing poor performance and after some adjustments, moved the frog further back, it performed great.
During this process I did some research on it and cannot determine the maker. There is the made in USA stamp, a U stamp on the body and on the body as well as a number 2. The iron is stamped with Parplus.
I have attached some pictures. I am betting this is a frankenplane...

Not a stanley bailey with a sheet metal frog like it has. How long is it and how wide is the blade?

That "Parplus" stamped on the blade is probably the best clue on the brand of that particular plane. That and the link Mark posted.
