How would you address this?

This is for the hall table I'm working on and I'm puzzeling over how to deal with the wings on the cabriole legs. Here's a pic of what I have.

I was thinking of adding corners to return the wings back to the skirts, but I really didn't like how that looked.

Now I'm thinking of just rounding the wings over, but i'm not sure how that will look either. So, how would you address the problem?

Going off your last pic, I would extend the wings further into the skirt.

Here's a couple of examples I found on the ball and claw website. I've seen pics of tables that have the same shape in that area, but I couldn't find any pics in a quick search online. Maybe this will give you some ideas...

Ed,

Traditionally, knuckles are added to continue the flow of the legs into the aprons. Like the pic Gator shows and also the other examples. I on the other hand have made tables and did not use the knuckles. For me, I feel the table looks unfinished if it is made sans the knuckles but that is just me.
