I have been a member here for about a year and I thought it was time to create an introduction thread. I have been making pens for about 10 years and also turned a few bowls. Last January we had several large trees taken down that were encroaching on the house and decide to buy a mill to make use of the wood (mostly red oak). That has lead to a lot of new wood working equipment and a wood kiln. Still trying to work the bugs out of the kiln and I am currently waiting on backordered parts from Nyle. I am currently experimenting with cutting bowl blanks from trees a neighbor took down in December. The first couple I have turned are promising.
