Hello, I'm new here and need some assistance with identifying some wood I have. I have reason to believe it originated from Southeast Asia, based on the supplier of the products that were shipped on the pallets this wood came from. It doesn't look like anything domestic I have ever seen, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Below are some pictures of some random samples I have somewhat cleaned up. THANKS!

Nice score!
I also thought mahogany.
Having some experience in dumpster diving, I've found some great mahogany used as packing crates. (as well as osage, tulipwood, rosewood, walnut, and others )

90% sure it is Sapelle, I have turned probably 200 lbs of it and it comes in a lot of dirrent grain patterns and shades, but I would almost be sure it is Sapelle

I'm going with Lauan. Lot of pallets from Asia are made of it. Also known as Meranti and Phillipine Mahogany
