Q
Hello, I am looking for someone that may have a wide surface sander, 20" to sand down a oak top that did not glue up correctly.

The back story is I used biscuits to glue the boards and they did not line up well. I don't have a surface planner wide enough to run the top through, I am looking for some one that might have one that can run the top through for me ( I will pay shop time).

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks, Dave Q

My intermediate jointer/planer is good for 25", so your top should not be a problem. Send me an email if interested.

The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville (who advertises with us) has a wide belt sander. They can do this for you if your top is narrower that their sander. I have had them do several things like that for me and the work was always very well done. I highly recommend these guys.

I have also had the Hardwood Store in Gibsonville do a Oak table top for me. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. Don't remember exactly what they charged but it must have been fair or I would remember it.
