I am working on a tea box project as a Christmas gift. The walnut top and bottom I have is from some really old wood I got from an estate sale. Until I initially skip planed it for this project I didn't realize how wild the grain was.
All that being said, I wanted to see if someone around town (raleigh) who is proficient with a card scraper would be willing to finish it if I bring it to your shop? It's already as thin as I would like it to be so I don't want to run it through a planer. And my sharpening skill is nowhere near good enough for using a hand plane haha.
