Been wondering about something. My impeller (CV 16") has, as most of you know, has backward curved blades. If I have to reverse motor direction, will the impeller still work as well with the blades turning in the opposite direction?
Also, I can only get a full bushing of shaft, ie: the shaft end is flush with the bushing. Will this be enough? :wconfused::wconfused:
Thanks,

The impeller will not work in reverse direction as it will grab air with the leading edges of the blades versus creating a vacuum behind them when in the correct rotation.

As long as the key is in place, the set screws are tight and the taper of the bushing is torqued to 5 ft-pounds, it should be fine. Make certain that all parts of the impeller clear the blower body and any bolt or screw heads.
