Just finished demilune table for my oldest son. Legs and apron are pin oak and table top is spalted maple. First foray into this type of table and gave me an opportunity to make the taper jig I’ve been meaning to make for myself. All mortise and tenon joints and topped attached with figure eights. Legs and apron stained and lacquered….top finished with Rubio monocoat pure. Fully intending on the bottom 3-4” of the legs being same maple as table top but totally forgot until after I was finishing the legs. Sure wish I could forget all my mistakes and imperfections when I finish a piece. Now only problem is my wife wants to keep it where I staged it for pictures in our house. Guess I will be making her one next
