Emery Paper Stinks

or at least the stuff I got from HD does. Kept smelling hints of dead animal while I was in my shop tonight. Took a bit to figure out what it was. I got some wet - sloppiness with a spray bottle and it smelled even worse. It's been a long time since I used any. I don't remember that being a problem.

Repeat after me three times, Klingspor, Klingspor, Klingspor. Got the idea yet? If not repeat after me three.......... Was that stuff from HD made in China by any chance? Quality is like buying oats. If you want nice clean fresh oats, they will cost you. But if you don't mind if they have already been through the horse, they are a lot cheaper.

It is Norton. I believe still made in the U.S. I have no complaints about their other abrasives. In any case, HD is on my way home and I was there for other non-woodworking stuff. Klingspor's would require a special trip.
