Delta 8" bench Grinder from Lowe's

My OLD Craftsman died so I purchased a new variable speed 8" bench grinder, GR450, on sale at Lowes for $109. Seemed like a good price and would be if...


After my third one burnt out and seized up, I called Delta. They are sending me a new one free of charge and I will be able to take my third "New one" back to Lowes to get my $ back.

Kudos to Delta if they follow through and it works.

I will keep you posted.

Ouch. That's not good. Hope it works out for you. I don't have the 450, but I thought it was supposed to be pretty good.... keep us posted.

John, good to know that Delta will stand behind their stuff. Let us know how it turns out.
By the way, you may want to stop forcing the plug into the 220V outlet! :rolf:

I received the new GR450 from Delta as promised. I ran it for 3 hours on high and it did not melt or seize. I considered that a success.
