.... It isn't worse furniture, I've made the same bedroom set, for instance, both with and without the PCS and my other newer tools (twice before the PCS, once after). It's easier with nicer tools but it doesn't have to affect accuracy. .....

A choice I wish I made earlier is to use a track saw to make cuts on big pieces of wood, sheet goods or solid. ....

I just acquired a tracksaw and am learning to use it. This has been vital in cutting large pieces, because while I have 52" rip capacity, I can't move large sheet goods around that large TS.... oh the irony. I would be better off with a smaller TS, but that requires change. The tracksaw has been great for long rips (11') and breaking down sheet goods (mostly accurately - learning curve and all).

I have never felt limited by my contractor saw fitted with a top-notch fence (Vega), except for ripping thick hardwoods.
