Traveling through Mebane and saw a sign " selling woodworking machines and lumber" at Colonial Traditions.....a fine furniture store located on West Graham Street(Hwy 119 North). The owner Curtis Byron gave me a tour of the facility and sale items. The facility used to make specialty fine furniture items mirrors, beds, wall lanterns, cases, etc. There are lots of finials, spindles, veneers, oak, mahogany, cherry, and pine lumber, bed posts, frames, moldings. There are several large production machines ....a humongous band saw and a spray booth. The machines were too large for my small shop but some of you may have room. Curtis also has a small collection of old tools for sale...planes, chisels, etc. If you are near Mebane might be worth a visit. Curtis Byron 919-563-5520.
