I spent a little time chasing the flats on this cute little number seven this evening.

What brand of saw vise is that? I haven't seen one like that before. Also, I'm curious about the function of the painter's tape that you have on each jaw.

The saw vise is a Grammacy from tools for working wood. It is a fine saw vise. The painter's tape for me helps reflect light without glare. So it helps with visablity.

So here it is sharp and ready to go!

It's a 16” Disston no. 7 from around the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. 9 points per inch, 15-degree rake, 15-degree fleam. The nuts are not original, but the poor little handle is. It's been repaired many times.

The cut quality is really sweet. I think it's owner will be happy to see it back in working order.
