Burning Question - When are cutoffs/scrap firewood?

I save all scraps from the current project - Hnady for stain tests, etc.
When the project is over, purge all but a couple (or none) of the very best.

Bob, desert ironwood has a certain aroma that reminds me of burning stuff in SE Asia years ago.

Oh. I have tossed some in the burn bin but the bin gets picked up by others for their own fire pit. They didn't complain but they get mostly walnut anyway.

So, are you saying y'all don't stack your sawdust by grain size?
I don't actually, but that's only because it never occurred to me to do that. Now that you mention it ......... nah ........ I'll send sawdust to the compost pile.

I have a small plethora of 1/2" maple cubes I can make available.
That's a tough one. I mean, who hasn't looked a veritable plethora of 1/2" maple cubes and thought, "There's GOTTA be something I can use that for!".

with the right design, a multistage dust collector could do that for you.
