I finally got my new shop/garage heater from Northern Tool. It's a 220v portable job. It had really good reviews online.

I was turning in 70 degree comfort all weekend... yippee :eusa_danc! My shop is 20x22 with a 12' ceiling and it took about an hour to get it from 48 to 70 deg. Not sure if that's great, but it made me happy. Now we'll see how the electricity bill looks... :wink_smil.

That's about the size I need, let us know how the power bill looks!

I'll follow up after the first full month of using it. Seems like someone said .50c/hour for a similar machine. I can handle that, since I usually avoid the shop during the winter months.

I ordered this and have now been using it a couple of weeks. Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised ... it works VERY well even in my non-insulated garage. In fact, if it runs for a while I get the point I turn it off as I get a bit warm. PERFECT for NC weather around here in the winter.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'll be selling my other one!
