I used up some scrap pieces of black walnut I got a while back from jeff and made the following wooden mallet today when I got back from Klingspor. I hope to turn a round one soon.

That's a serious lookin' "Clock cleaner" Doug! When you turn the round one I'll take that ol' square one off your hands. We don't want you clutterin' up your shop with unused goods....:rotflm:

The head is made from 3 1 inch thick sections. The middle section is split into two witht he sides at a slight angle. The hanlde is split and a wedge in the head keeps it together.
