Hey all,
I'm new to the woodworking community/hobby and my first "major" project is constructing a longboard. Everywhere I have researched has indicated that baltic birch is far and away the best wood to use. The issue im running into is that I can't find a place near me in Raleigh that will sell a single 5'x5' sheet in either 1/4" or 1/8" thicknesses. I don't really want to get Redi cuts because it almost doubles my price for less wood. I'm willing to drive roughly an hour or a little more if anyone knows a place with affordable baltic birch. Thanks for the help.
