Klingspor's Woodworking Extravaganza this year will have a new turning competition!
Can you spray shavings from a log 10' in the air, can you put chips into a designated area and do it under pressure? We, over the years, have admired when some of our turning demos go crazy. Last year, we witnessed Jerry Measimer spraying strands of shavings over the top of the 7' curtain and raining shavings onto the Southern Piedmont Woodturners booth. Hilarious! We know he was doing it on purpose but he will not admit it. I have also heard for years folks like Scott Caskey say he chases folks in his shop with shavings. SO, we decided to make a competition out of this "skill" that some folks have. By the way, NO PEELING OF APPLES ALLOWED ON LATHES! :gar-Bi
